I love to photograph this live oak at Magnolia Gardens. It's one of the largest at the gardens, among the many centuries-old oaks. It's one of the things that makes this place so special.

The abundant rain of late has created ample opportunities to photograph leaves and shadows of trees on water, as here recently at Caw Caw Interpretive Center.

Close-up details on the surface of water near the banks of a small lake or pond, or in a tiny section of forest floor, fascinate me. I like to study the details and think about what drew me to photograph a particular spot and why that particular composition in Nature that caught my eye.
