This is a scene from a visit this past spring to a state park where I walked a path among blooming azaleas and some of the largest and most numerous live oaks I have ever seen. These majestic trees never cease to astonish me. I grew up in New Orleans surrounded by them. They evoke some of my earliest memories of place and time. I think back on this visit now on a hot summer day in July and long for the cool breezes of April, as I also travel back in time.
Hello,
ReplyDeleteI love live oaks and I wish we had more of them here. Beautiful place to walk.
